More Poetry

I sing to my children the following lullaby set to "Rock a Bye Baby":

Rock a bye caterpillar
In the treetops
When the wind blows
Your chrysalis rocks
When it breaks open
Out you will come
A beautiful butterfly
Ready for fun!

blossoms releasing
sweet fragrance upon brisk winds
releasing blossoms

Riding the Wave Beneath the Surface

Rising on moonlit feet
She left her material
Body of evidence
Drifting past innocence
Into oceans awash
With angelfish
And many great schools
Being chased bySharks

Adrift in shifting
Currents
Adrift but not forgotten
She becomes a dark ray
And glides
And flies
